Christmas 1969, Page Two

Here is another style of layout with the same picture as the last post. This one I made for Heritage Scrap, using Lynn Griffin's Holiday Home kit. I like how you can use this kit to dress things up or countrify your page.

Three Generations of Hopkins Women

This is one of my favorite pictures from the wedding of my Mom, my Grandma Hopkins and me. Since Grandma's suit was bright blue, I used a vintage effect to neutralize the photo. I was so blessed to have her alive and healthy for my wedding. Two years later she went Home. This is another page using Kate McClellan's beautiful Vintage Valentine papers in Le Creme and Le Rouge along with Lynn Griffin's Holiday Home page kit, both available at Heritage Scrap. See links in the previous post.

December Bride

You'll be tired of seeing our faces soon as I seek to find the perfect layout to commemorate our ten years together. This one is made from Kate McClellan's gorgeous Victorian Valentine papers in Le Creme and Le Rouge at Heritage Scrap. The poinsettias, evergreen branches and frame come from Lynn Griffin's Holiday Home, also from Heritage Scrap.

Christmas Bride

As our tenth wedding anniversary approaches this month, I'll probably be posting several wedding layouts. We didn't have a professional wedding photography and that is the only thing I would change if I could about our wedding. Still, this is my favorite picture of the day because it shows exactly how HAPPY I was. I cannot remember ever feeling so much joy in my being, except perhaps the day I accepted Christ and was baptised.

The background papers and corner brackets are from Julie Jorgenson's Vintage Bride kit at Scrapbook Elements. She has some really lovely papers. The evergreen's are Verena Karolyi's silver fir branches, which I added to a ribbon and flower cluster from Teri Hanson's new preview kit on sale now - Winter Wilderness. She has some really lovely things in this kit! I can't wait to play with it more.
