Heritage Scrap Blog Train

Happy Inter/National Scrapbook Day Weekend!  Are you having fun yet?!  I hope so!  You have arrived safely at the Heritage Scrap Blog Train.  First let me tell you about the kit that inspired our project.

My Portion of Le Jardin

Papers From Le Jardin

Our fearless leader, Kate Mc Clellan is an unabashed Francophile. Her inspiration for the Le Jardin kit came from the vintage rose, Malmaison from the garden of Napoleon Bonaparte's Empress Josephine.  The soft colors are springy, feminine and elegant.  Each designer has created a portion in her own style and yet they all work together.  You can view them all here.  Keep an eye out in the store as there are some free goodies from a few of the designers, some of which also coordinate with the kit.

Now, the moment you've all been waiting for... the blog train freebies!  Each designer has created a quick page from her portion of the kit.  Mine is Shutterfly Ready (thus, slightly smaller than 12x12 but easily increased in size to print as 12x12 elsewhere without reducing quality) and can be downloaded HERE.  Make sure to visit every one's blog to get to know them and to download their portion as well.  Then stop in at the shop for some great sales!

25% Off At Faith Sisters, New Kits and New Customer Appreciation Kit

Faith Sisters has a brand new customer appreciation kit, just out!  It has lovely soft spring colors and celebrates the resurrection of Yeshua/Jesus.  All the designers work together on this and it's a great way to get to know different designers' styles.  This kit, "He Is Risen" is free with any $10 purchase in the store.

All the designers who work on the collab, also put together a quick page.  These are available in the store for $1.  You can find my quick page here.

My Faith Sisters shop can be found here and I will be having 25% off all kits through April 30th.  Yesterday I put a new kit in the store, called Flutterby Mini Digital Scrapbooking Kit.  The previews, unfortunately don't do it justice (I'll admit, I need help on that!), but I had fun working with and will post a layout below.  Flutterby is full of butterfly papers and elements and is lighthearted and whimsical for spring, feminine or little girl pictures.  To see hte patterned papers, please check the store listing for more previews.

Last but not least, I have a "new, old kit" - one that has been at Heritage Scrap and is now at Faith Sisters, called North Coast.

Many of these papers are made with my own high resolution photographs of California's beautiful North Coast.

April 2011 Heritage Scrap Designer Collaboration Kit

Heritage Scrap has a new designer collaboration set out and you can view all the portions here.  The link for mine is just above.

Here is a view of the papers for my portion of Spring Symphony.  It will be $2.50 for each portion during the month of April 2011.  While each of us have a slightly different style, each designer used the same color card and theme.  The kits will work together 'mix and match'.

Here is a layout I created using my portion.  This is a hummingbird we saw buzzing around the flowering fruit trees at the nursery earlier this week.  The kids and I really enjoyed watching him.  It's pretty hard to get a clear picture when their wings beat so fast and they are on to the next flower before you can change your settings!

This layout is also made with the kit and I used a great template from Armina Designs.  This showcases some of the photos I took while at the nursery.  Since I love to photograph flowers, my camera usually goes with me when I take a trip to pick up what I need.  As a photographer, I really like using templates like this to share as many of my photographs as possible in an eye pleasing manner.

If you have fun using this kit, or any of my kits, I'd love to see your art!
