Project Life Tuesday: 2014 Week 6 and a Calendar Card

Because of the weather, I had to take my photos inside this week, so they aren't so great.  However, I am not going to complain because we have been in drought and we need the blessing of this rain!

Here is the full two page spread.  It was a blue week!

This was a week mostly spent around the house, but it was also a week where a lot of things were accomplished, so there was a lot to write about.

Because the photos weren't very good I took a close up shot of the right side.  All the fruit trees bloomed early and they have been lovely.

And I decided to put in a small calendar each month.  I have the digital version of the Rain Core Kit and was able to choose one of the cards that is meant to be for the opening page.  Then I used a commercial use perpetual calendar template from one of my favorite designers, Miss Tiina. After flattening the image, I had it printed at Costco with the rest of my Project Life photos and I am pleased with the result. It was fun to add that.

All in all,I have loved doing this. It's so relaxing on Sunday or Monday to sit down with my prints and work on my layout - almost like a reward! My pages aren't overly exciting as far as technique and art, but they are DONE! And that is the exciting part to me and my family.

Project Life Tuesday: 2014 Week 5

Welcome back to my Project Life Adventure.  This week I am connecting up with Project Life Tuesday at The Mom Creative.  She has a great FAQ post this week. Be sure to check out the bottom of her post for those who have linked up.

I'm still working on getting better pictures - it's a work in progress. I don't have good light inside and the weather wasn't cooperating outside!  You win some and you lose some. If you are new here - I am just doing a very simple Project Life focusing on photos and journaling. I love the look of the pages with embellishments and pretty things, but at this point in my life, there just isn't enough time or finances to do that.  Primarily I am a heritage scrapbooker and I do that digitally as well as creating digital designs.  Project Life is my way of satisfying both my love of being the family historian and my love for hands on scrapbooking. I may add more as I go along though.  For now I am content using the Rain core kit from Becky Higgins, which I purchased at HSN. You can see my previous posts under the label Project Life.

My pages are just day to day life - nothing too exciting.  I focused on the weather since we are in drought and the little guy who is staying with us. We've also been having glorious sunrises this winter. The "snipping tool" in Windows has been my friend to grab graphics to document what is happening in the world.

This week I had so many pictures that there aren't many of the decorative card fillers to add to the design. We are excited to see seeds coming up and I caught the odometer as it hit 128k miles!

Thank you for dropping by to see what's going on in my Project Life Adventure!
