Forget-Me-Nots

When seeking a name for my design adventures, it did not take long to choose Forget-Me-Nots. This dainty blue flower has long been a favorite from the time that my brother and I picked them at our Grandma Hopkins' house as children. Hers grew wildly along with her mint garden and came in hues of blue, pink and white. Sadly, my brother died at the age of 5. Picking forget-me-nots is one of the sweet memories I have of Danny. I'll never forget him, but as the years go by, it's hard to remember his face. I am so thankful that my Mom took lots of pictures so I can remember him. The little boy in my blog header design is my brother in his last portrait.

Passing on our heritage is part of growing as a family. Not everyone is famous. Every day lives can be fascinating! For me it was thrilling to see how God's hand had been on our lives. From Puritans to later European immigrants to ministers, blacksmiths, carpenters, farmers, teachers and school girls, a torch of faith in Jesus Christ was passed on to me from my ancestors.

In this modern day we are blessed with technology and equipment to preserve and present our historical and day to day memories and memorabilia in beautiful ways. Be prepared - it's an adventure! I've tried to share with you links for resources you may find helpful along the way. Enjoy!
