Cuisine is another addition to my collection of recipe oriented digital scrapbooking kits.  It is designed to create a whole family cookbook or just a few recipe or food related scrapbook pages. 3x4 Journal Cards are included for those doing pocket page scrapbooking. NEW: Everyday Heritage - My Cook Book

Cooking and health are a growing passion of mine, which has often been fueled by memories of working with Grandma Hopkins in her kitchen and lately by reading books she left that all include little notes in her handwriting and underlining and crossing out things sometimes too!  This year I have begun to make plans for creating a family cookbook. And so the seeds were also sown to create my new kit Everyday Heritage - My Cook Book.

 

 

The kit is quite large, so that you can make a variety of pages or a whole book. If you have my Country Kitchen kit, some of the elements and papers may mix and match.  Here is the store description for the kit:

I tried to include as many ways as possible for you to write down recipes, so that there would be variety if you were making a book. Also included are 3x4 and 4x6 cards for those who are doing pocket style scrapbooking.

I tried to keep the paper selection somewhat neutral with a few bolder prints for accents. This way the eye can focus on the recipes and the photos. They have a slightly vintage country feel to them.  Included are five pieces of cardstock as well.

 

 

Frames are included for creating regular scrapbook pages or for your food photos. And there are plenty of labels!  Plain versions are included in case you want to add your own.  There are titles and category titles as well.  All these come in two different colors to allow more creative freedom in your cook book!

Fun Family Tree (New Kit)

 

 

I've been busy designing again.  For many months I have wanted to create a fun kit that could be used with more modern photos and not so "Victorian" looking.  Here is a pedigree chart page I made with my new kit Fun Family Tree.

 

 

 

Here is another page highlighting photos of our daughters.  My intent was that this kit could be used for every day pictures as well.  The colors would lend to autumn and fall pictures and there are some leaf elements.

 

 

 

As you can see, Fun Family Tree is bright and cheerful with a more modern, slightly country, slightly shabby feel to it.

 

 



 

Here are the elements with many flowers, ribbons and leaf/tree elements for you to mix and match on your layouts.

Here are the different journaling options for telling your story.  The 4x6 cards could be used for recipe cards as well.

New Kit: Rosen

Hot off the press!  Rosen was a really fun kit to create.  I was inspired by my friend who loves roses and this kit is full of them!  The name Rosen is taken from the German word for roses.  It should be in the store any moment and when it is, I will come back and put a direct link.  For now you can go directly to my store at Heritage Scrap.

Here you can see the flowered papers that have a little touch of vintage, a little shabby chic, a little elegance and a whole lot of fun.



Included are two worn and torn overlays and a lovely mat.  This preview also shows some of the rosy journaling options.

In the elements, I wanted to be sure and include a lot of components to make your own flowery creations.



There are many frame options for you to choose from.

Soft coral pink and green tones compliment the roses.  The colored papers are subtly designed so as to coordinate with the floral prints.

This is one of the layouts I created with Rosen.  The photograph was taken from the Evergreen Washelli blog, where you can read a little about her.  She was one of the first children born in Seattle, Washington and comes from two of the founding families.  She was an author and painter in her own right.

My Family Tree 12x12 Shutterfly Ready Album

My Family Tree 12x12 Shutterfly Ready Album is new in my store tonight, and it will be going on sale 40% off for the iNSD weekend.  This is the first of a series of Shutterfly Ready Albums I will be creating with my My Family Tree series of kits.  This album was made using components of My Family Tree and My Family Tree Add On available here in a combo pack and My Family Tree - Family Files Add On.

This preview shows 2 of the 2 page spreads, to give you an idea of what it looks like.  There are 18 pages (9 2-page spreads) that are meant to be used side by side with a definite left and right, but they could also be used intermixed with pages you create with the My Family Tree kits or intermixed with each other to your taste.   In addition to the 18 pages, there is a title/dedication page and an end page, as well as a cover with an opening for a photo, a back cover and a spine.  One of the first pages is a pedigree chart to record your family genealogy.  Remember to journal.  There are a few pages created just for you to tell your story!

All these pages were created with the templates that Shutterfly provides on their website.  You can load your pictures into/on these pages, flatten the image and upload to Shutterfly.  Once at Shutterfly, follow their directions on creating a 12 x 12 book.  Shutterfly uses a size just shy of 12" square.  If you are going to print elsewhere, you may have to enlarge just slightly, but this should not be a problem.

In this album I focused on the soft teal colors and elegant laces and frames.  It definitely has a "dressy" feel.  Soon I will be adding to the My Family Tree collection by creating a Shutterfly Ready book with some of the more modern elements found in the collection.  So, stay tuned!

Some of you may be wondering why you would buy a collection like this.  If you need a gift project that can be done quickly, you could use this to complete a book in an evening.  Think of gifts for the holidays, anniversaries and other special occasions.

New Kit at Heritage Scrap AND Faith Sisters

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  Partly because it has been the least corrupted by the retail industry.  But mostly because I feel it is a natural part of faith to be THANKFUL!  I have many happy childhood memories of large family Thanksgiving dinners around my Grandma Hopkins' table.  Not only did family gather, but often older widowed ladies from our various churches and friends (old and new), who happened to be passing through and/or separated from family at that time.  When I married my husband and left the Pacific Northwest for Sunny California - my family Thanksgiving dinners were what I missed most.  The scrumptious meal put together by loving and cooperative hands, Scrabble and "Kick It" (fussball) games, putting together puzzles and looking at each other's photos from the last year are all part of the great memories I store in my heart.

With all these things in mind, I created "Thankful", which can be used to scrap your Thanksgiving memories, but is also versatile for other autumn and family occasions.  Included is some bonus word art and titles including two with Scripture and some quotes.  The papers have textures of damask and leaves and I've included many photo real elements.
